Lyla Dalton is a shell of her former self. She and her cousin have been traveling cross country in an RV, trying to outrun their pasts, but that’s about to come to an end.
Gavin Pyre is out of jail and he’s coming for her. This time, when he catches her, there will be no escape.
Well…I expected more from the plot for this book. To me it felt almost like a filler for the third book. The first 20% of the story was like the first book, where the main couple wasn’t on good terms. But after that the story picked up. The only thing that I wasn’t a fan of was the ending. It’s a cliffhanger, so no HEA for us – yet. What I liked more in this book was Lyla’s attitude. She stood up more for herself and knew what she wanted. And maybe Gavid was more likable. Still OTT, that’s for sure, but that part totally works for me. I like my heroes go crazy for the woman they love. I think the third book will be the best one, since we’ll get all the answers and also the HEA for this couple, hopefully.
