Review for Keep by Rachel Van Dyken

My name’s shouted on rooftops.

It’s written on bras, bathroom stalls, hell my name is everywhere. To say my name is to experience an orgasm without ever leaving your house.

My name?

Zane “Saint” Andrews.

I’m sex.

I’m a rock god.

I’m also a virgin.

What they don’t know won’t kill them right? Give the people what they want. And what they want is the idea of me; the pleasure they gain at listening to my song and knowing without a doubt I’m talking about them and only them.

It worked for a while.
Until a nerdy girl with glasses falls at my feet, literally, and suddenly I don’t want to be Saint anymore, what I want? What I really need?
Is to be kept.
By her.

Man, I love this author and what she does with her stories. They always make me feel so much and this book was no different! I loved every page, from start to finish. I mean just read the blurb and you’ll definitely want to read the story. A rockstar who’s a virgin? Like, duh! That’s like heaven to my ears. I love that type of plot and aside from that, Zane is just an unbelievable character that you can’t help but to fall in love with. He’s super funny but he also has some huge issues and a strong obsession with marshmallows. The reason behind that is so sad and at the same time, dare I say, cute? I don’t know, just read the book!

“Are you sure you don’t do drugs?”
Hands shaking, he managed to get one of them free and reach into his pocket long enough to pull out two smaller marshmallows, popping them in his mouth.
I shook my head. “Let me guess, travel size?”
He smirked. “You’re catching on.”
“A terrifying thought.”
“Or the best one you’ve ever had?”
“Worth a shot.”

Anyway, as far as the plot goes, I enjoyed it. There was one twist that I saw coming miles away so I wasn’t that surprised when it all blowed over but the other twist, wow, yeah that was just mean and super emotional. How could it not be, the author includes the whole process and in that situation you really can see how loved Zane is and that his family, maybe not by blood but family still, really do care for him a lot. Also, Fallon, she’s so strong and really just an amazing person. She can be a bit nerdy but in a cute way. Also, what she has to go through is so hard for her but she’s tough and just what Zane needs.

The ending is maybe not what I wanted to see, because the story will continue in Will’s book but I wished we’d get to see an epilogue a bit further in the future. They have a strong bond but with the media and all that, I would’ve loved to see how that affects them. The next book can’t come soon enough and from what we could gather at the end of this story, there is some mayor drama ahead (but not between Zane and Fallon). Thankfully I haven’t read the first book in this series, so I have a way to get my fix there, lol. 😉 All I can say is get this book!!! It’s really a wonderful story.
